Have an 87 hi line dual fuel good nick for around $1000 un reg PM me if interested
Hey all
So I've been searching for a few months for a rangie asthe disco 2 is not a viable option for what I want to do. I have looked at other (dare I say) manufacturers but the rangies are great value for money.
So my budget is around 2 k for the car with the same left for rego and any small mods. This will be a weekender so not driven as daily. Would like to comp one day.
What I have found so far
1. 2 door with 302 lifted and with full bar work plus get another complete rangie with gas. This is close to my place so easy to get
2. Ute with full comp spec roll cage Nissan diffs chromoly 4 link rear. No engine gearbox or transfer. Would need transport company at a cost of around 800.
3. Fully locked lifted and ready to go 4 door. Far from home would have to fly and cruise home.
What do you guys think? If you have any other options let me know. I'm on the Gold Coast

After buying an '88 RRC for $800 at 300,000 kms. without seeing option 1 an 2 i think they are just going to cost you more than you are prepared to spend. I've spent approx $2.5K since. The only advantage is i know what i have and it is nearly all new.
Option 3 sounds like the best option of the 3. But i'd speak to Rangie tragic as his option sounds temping too. Also always a bonus buy from someone on the forum.
That is just my opinion.
Heres a few pics disco dan, engine won't run, have changed everything but fuel pump.Gave up ,too many other projects
Option 3 if that is the one located in melbourne avoid it lots required for roadie if you want for parts worth the look i also am looking for a classic Rangie $3000 mark went and looked at it.
have a look at this maybe worth it for you
