Mine is MR Automotive and yes, straight sleeve. Decided freighting back and forth between Dwn and Bris was not cost effective.
Yep, in the end a mild press fit and as you say no sealant on that one. I think I would use sealant just in case, but only a little.
We have done 3 cases, of which 2 are in use and one (the one in the pics) is a spare.
None have leaked yet.
Heaps of stuff in that thread on my 90, rebuild steps for the gearbox and transfer, suspension work, diff builds etc etc.. its all a bit of a mess and in no order tho so sorry about that!
I believe you can buy a case which has already been sleeved from MR Automotive. I think they may use a parallel sleeve, not the stepped one we have been using from Ashcrofts.

Yes...it's personally very upsetting to see the standard of work to which I will have to aspire!!!
So in regard to rebuilding the centre shaft I should also consider shims instead of the crushable sleeve?
Also tried checking AM's other threads to see if there was a post on the hydraulic winch but could not see anything. By mid mounted does AM mean you can use the same winch fore and aft? Did AM do a write up. The hydraulic pump/clutch looks different to the one I have from MR Automotive.
