    1984 RRC Floor and Interior

    Hi Guys,
    I have been looking for info on the floors of the early 4 door RRC and Dico 1. I'm wanting to know if they're the same as I'm replacing the carpet and going from brown to grey.

    My RRC is a 1984 4 door, gear box is LT77. I have found a carpet from a Disco 1 and I'm hoping it would fit!!

    Can anyone help me with the answer?

    They aren't. The floors changed around 1986. Mainly around trans tunnel and dash.

    But the carpet may still fit.

    Thanks for the input Dougal,
    I'll grab this second hand one and see if it fits, if it does I'll look at buying the new carpets from Tru-fit.

    I'm only interested in good fit for the trans with front and rear foot wells being covered. The center consol will have a small fridge so it may take the focus off imperfections. The rear is going to be kitted out with a draw and fridge slide and cargo barrier.

    As for the dash, if the carpet doesn't reach the base of the dash I'll improvise.

    Ask Tru fit if they have finished the moulds for the 4 door yet - they were making them a while ago, not sure if they completed them.

    I have been emailing Rhys from Tru-fit and he said they're doing new mould for the 4 door and vinyl will be available from June.
    I've been driving the old girl with no flooring and it's loud, tomorrow I'll do a dummy run with sound proofing and the disco 1 carpet, if it's quiet and fit ok I'll push ahead and get the carpets from Tru-fit.
