How old is the battery? And is it being charged by the alt? First thing to check.
Hello,
I have just purchased a 1983 4 door which has had the FF conversion (4.4 ltr V8, Recaro seats and leather, FF transmission etc) and which also has central locking fitted at the time of conversion (by Ritters I think).
The previous owner told me that if you leave the vehicle locked and not started for 3 days the battery goes flat. And he was right!
He thought it was the central locking causing the fault.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this (apart from deactivating the central locking or isolating the battery!)?
Any help much appreciated.

put a meter on the battery and measure current draw, then pull the fuse for the central locking and see if it changes? should be easy to track down

Thanks for the suggestions which I will try.
I guess that will tell me if the central locking is at fault or not but not where in the circuit the fault lies - or elsewhere if not?
I get the feeling this could take a while!

Can also be an alternator diode but that usually will affect you charging volts you won't get to 14.2 volts.
I always look at any of the add on wiring first, probably like your central locking wiring.
