Thread: '84 RRC Wipers

The Rhino's wipers have been cutting out after about 5 minutes of driving. This hasn't been a real problem until the recent s rains here and causing a bit of a headache while driving.


They work fine for 5-10mins, then stop, sometimes mid-way through a wipe, and wont start working again until the engine is cold again. Then they fire up right away, no problems.


Anyone have any ideas to fix this? Cheers!

Check all electrical connections are not dirty to wiper motor.
Could just be wiper motor itself after 30 years. Electrical things sometimes go open circuit when hot. Brushes inside wiper motor could be worn out.
I would try to get a second hand one and see how it goes.
