Disco Dan,
Before you send it away, find your Vacuum Fuel shut off switch.
Behind the Plenum, connected via Vacuum to the Pressure reg.
Get a short length of wire, unplug said switch, and join the two wires together at the loom. Making a loop.
Plug the Vacuum line, or just get rid of the "T" piece, and just run the Vac line straight from Pressure Reg. to Plenum.
If I'm right it will fire and run, if I'm wrong, sorry, was just a thought........![]()
G'day Disco Dan,
I've just clicked that you have a 3.9.
So cancel my previous post, 3.9's don't have the Vacuum switch I'm talking about.
Sorry about that. I've got too many looms floating around my head!
As you were........![]()
had a good friend over today to have a look and he said it looks like an injector is open or flowing wrong as it just floods. looks like i will be going all the way back and redoing injectors and testing
i have a fun weekend ahead
Haha yes it seems it will be a normal weekend haha yes I do love it even thou she does big me sometimes.
He said there is good spark and as I told him it floods easy he suggested that that can only suggest that one of the injectors is locked open or not atomizing instead just dousing the plug
Pulled it apart before so not a big issue.
It will start on only 7 cylinders. Why not disconnect the one you think is stuck? Or one at a time until it starts? Have you pulled the stepper motor out the back and cleaned it with carby cleaner? I remeber beuty mentioning he once had a faulty fuel pressure reg that allowed fuel past the diaphram into the engine via a vacuum line. Might also be worth checking. Maybe also disconnect you cold start injector.
Yeah that's what I said to my mate as it started on them before but he said its worth checking as it is getting way to much fuel. I have done the stepper motor. I pulled of the vacuum pipe and it had no drips but will double check with the pump on. Where is the cold start injector ?
