    Power Steering

I have an 87 vogue I have been given, I have managed to get her going (thanks to all the help from this site) and now have hard steering, a quick look at the power steering shows plenty of fluid and a belt. A quick look at the front suspension shows the rods in front of the axle that runs left to right and the second rod, that runs behind the axle left to right fairly bent. Would these make the steering hard, or just stuff the alignment?
I realise I need to replace these anyway so will start looking for the correct names and bushes etc, open to any assistance.

Check the uni joints between the steering box and the bottom of the column ie near the firewall - spray them with wd40 etc might free them up a bit

X2 for checking the uni joints. Can seize with symptoms being hard to turn and steering does not self centre.

Any oil in the swivel hubs?
The oil in here splashes around and lubricates the top tapered roller bearings. I have had a bottom bearing fail due to crap in the housing, I think and the rollers fall out, that sure made the steering heavy. It was easy to spot as there was heaps of slop.
