94 fuel filler
Has anyone removed the fuel filler splash back bit where you put the nozzle in to fill your car?
It's very hard to fill my rangie with diesel as I can't get the diesel nozzle in. My thoughts are juts to drill it out, but if I could remove it, I could use the high flow pump

The filler neck is definitely different internally (no flap) and externally (no breather box) for diesel. I'm currently converting a '94 LSE to 300tdi and it's getting the filler neck from the wrecked D1 as it is the same shape. You could probably undo your filler at the bottom and hole saw the flappy bit out then blow it out of the pipe.

I just cut the inside of the fuel filler out so that I can fill from a highflow diesel pump.Works well.
