Search VM diesel originally a boat engine probably a better anchor![]()
Was there a Range Rover model that was fitted with a four cylinder Italian engine that had individual cylinders/cylinder heads? A guy told me recently that he had owned one and it was a factory fitted engine, not an aftermarket conversion. I think he said it was a diesel engine.
Cheers, Mick.

Yes, the VM-powered RRC made in the Eighties. Called the Turbo D.
Walk away if offered one.
The engine is reputed to be a great boat anchor.

For the right price it would be an easy recipient for a 200Tdi/300Tdi.
Good idea Dougal as the 300 tdi must be plentifull and cheap I had mine in the 4 sale section $1200 with no Ks on new timing belt and fan bearing .A free salisbury housing and centre ,front housing and 24 spline centre ,snorkle ,tail shafts and didn't get a nibble
Noel
I got one but dropped an 4JG2t Isuzu in instead of the dead VM.
