Disaster averted
putting my 3.5 together as short engine after bore/crank grind / rod re size. All going good but as each rod/piston installed getting harder to turn over. Which is normal, but this seemed excessively hard. Pulled caps off rods-shiny wear patches on new bearings. Back to engine shop tomorrow I suspect they have not re sized rods correctly. Would have been a seized engine if I had continued and tried to run it

Got the short engine back engine reconditioners they said side thrust on conrods was tight which seemed odd as these are rods out of the engine. Whatever they fixed it turns over just nice now so am happy.
