Looks good meccles. Can you tell us about the build? Has it been top hatted or bore/honed/Camshaft etc?
Well engine is together. Bit of hiccup with body, the guy doing panel work decided to shut the doors on business while I was away. Got back to empty factory- panicked that I had lost all my good panels! But all good he had them in his garage. Bit of a delay now on bodywork to find another shop. Was at LRA in Melb last week looking at a Storm with 550 hp. A weapon! I will be happy with 200 hp![]()

Ok it is original 3.5 liter bored 20thou 9.75:1 pistons cloyes true roller cam drive plus telfon button, Crow 50230 cam plus crow lifters, new rocker shafts with steel rockers, with billet alloy strengtheners on ends of new rocker shafts. Crank 10 thou grind, rods re sized, ARP rod bolts. Heads were done many years ago by Ron Richards (Engine Development Center in Brissy) he used to do Dick Johnsons engines. They were given a freshen up, good ports, single but stout valve springs, teflon valve stem seals. Induction is Edelbrock performer inlet manifold, with Edelbrock 500cfm carby. I have a Pertronix Flame thrower distributor to go into it also. I used ARP 12 point Stainless inlet manifold bolts, plus Offenhouser rocker covers, wont make it go better but looks nice. Composite head gaskets, composite inlet manifold gasket, new water pump, up rated oil pump relief valve spring, new oil pump gears. And of course new HD bearings etc. Hopefully should be a nice little engine.
Ok car is booked into Yandina Paint and Panel 19th. So has to be completely stripped by then. Including all bitumastic under Guards etc as they will be sandblasting, and this doesn't come off with sandblasting- joy. Will post some pics when it goes on trailer. But got all bits for panel shop, sills crossmember light boxes etc. Plus ally tailgate. Am getting chassis done at same time, have all new OEM bushes for that, except pan hard rod which gets urethane. Brakes got S/s Pistons etc from UK. Brookers in Maroochy have just rebuilt them they look new. Some new DBA rotors coming. About only thing missing is shocks, still tossing up between Bilsteins or Konii, tending towards Koni.
Sounds great. As always, pics when you can.![]()

Ok hopefully these come out. I need some help from Incisor on how to embed photos. Seats are from C63 AMG Merc coupe. Got rid of computers all motors hard wired and all working from rocker switches on front of seat. Cars well beauty and the beast take your pick which is which. Panels are all sills/inners floors etc. Be warned many of Britpart panels are not replacement panels but repair panels. They are not pre drilled with all mounting holes etc. Instruments are Dakota Digital VHX 1018 using GPS speed sensor. Plus their engine monitoring sensors. All exterior panels already at Paint and Panel. Doors included am not using ones on car they are too rusty. Also have full set of original factory green tint windows. they will go in. Also have set of original style mags which will get freshened up.
Just dropped my two LT95 gearboxes off at Sunstate Transmissions. One is later type with shorter shift and higher final drive. That is one we will work on to make one out of two as Long as nothing terribly wrong is found

What kind of $$$ are involved with that sort of engine work?
Re compressor I had a brand New York on the shelf so will use it till it dies. Then swap for a Sanden style. Vintage Air do a York to Sanden conversion bracket so won't need to alter much. The engine owes me about 3k I built it and got most parts from either UK - V8EngineTuner, or D&D fabrications in States. Brought while dollar was strong. And watch when things go on special, like dizzy and inlet manifold. Dizzy cost $250 which was cheap. Inlet manifold a local speed parts shop was clearing excess stock, so $300. And I was in States in 2013 so got carby cam at that time. Way cheaper than herethe real money is going to be panel and paint their brief is to build it straight strong rust free and good for next twenty years. That's how Long we will need to keep it!
