I'be been having similar dual fuel issues on a series 3 running a 3.5l v8. I've changed the gas safety switch ($35 from an lpg mechanic) and it now seems fine. Cross fingers.

I take that back. It hasn't solved the problem at all.

mine runs fine on lpg and petrol,BUT plays up on petrol when ever it feels like it.when running at over 2000 rpm it gives a cough now and then,if at idle it stalls and then sounds like it is flooded or starving for fuel.turn the gas on to prime the lpg and starts fine.get the revs up and switch over to petrol and all is good again for a little while
