Well that was un-expected. The pump seal is perfect. No way am I pulling that out. So it must be the wiring connector that weepsIf it's not damp anywhere when I fill the tank I won't worry about it.
If that sealer if fuel proof .... I'm done!! I'l give it 24hours to dry, then fill it until the petrol bowser clicks out and see if we get leaks. I can blow into the filler and it holds pressure without leakage. I carefully wire brushed everywhere with a stainless steel brush before assembly to clean it.

I'm going to have to find out it's capacity and fill it by 3 litres less to give some expansion room rather than letting the bowser drop out. All they had to do was weld in tubes that recessed into the tank say 1/2" and there would have been plenty of expansion space. I don't understand why a tank manufacturer would do this ?

If it's not damp anywhere when I fill the tank I won't worry about it.





Hey 2nd time around is always easier right ... I've found 3rd and 4th times get even faster and easier too
