Here's a pic of the Sun Visor style that I am looking for - If anyone has one they wish to offload, or knows where I can get hold of one, please let me know

You know these things are really bad for an already poor fuel economy

Oh sure do! But I like the look. Also, they have a purpose - keeping the sun off my legs. And - shoudl I decide to put a light bar on the roof, it will go a ways to prevent the light from striking the front of the vehicle as well.

but fuel economy is not my biggest worry right now..... RRC's engine just threw a hissyfit this morning - you'll see in my other thread.

Noone is making a steel (solid sheetmetal) visor. That mob I mentioned before only make mesh ones.... and I'm not really up for that.
I do have some acrylic that would look pretty cool. Perhaps I could shape that.

    Hi All,

There are some sweet looking RRC in this thread ... be it from subtle piratical additions to those with a more aggressive look they are simply a great looking 4x4 by far

Is it possible Black Rangie and Vern to get a bigger photo uploaded of your vehicles ....something like PS1250 would be nice ...or I'm I overdue for an eye check up

I can't enlarge photo on my desk top computer ....which is a real shame.

    Cheers

    Baggy

Better to run a dark strip across the windscreen to block the sun without affecting fuel consumption.

I understand what you're saying, but to get the same effective coverage I'd have to tint half the windscreen.

    It's not feasible.

Mm there is this product available called sunscreen. Seems to work quite well though does tend to stain light coloured leather. We use quite a bit in Qld Or Long pants
