Rather nostalgic moment for Dad methinks

Looks like you did well on both accounts... On time- and no leaks or breakdowns

Yeah pretty special and yes car ran flawlessly. Though my wife and I had a good laugh we were driving down to Sorrento it was 35degrees the A/c is not working and there was a hole in handbrake gaiter so it’s hot. And no carpet etc so the transfer case is whining like a banshee. Back to the old days windows down. I look over and say @other than it being hot and noisy it runs ok” she agrees then we both crack up 🤣

The boss women here gets very grumpy when hot ............... So she loves my old ****boxes The ****box rangerover here has amazingly good A/C. I still amazed how good it is for a vehicle designed and built in the salty soggy UK in the early 1970s (when only the seppoes really did A/C).

New Famous Four springs fitted supposed to be 1” lower than stock but I think it’s about stock height. Interesting comparing them with the Dobsons I had which again were supposed to be stock but in fact added 2” lift. The Dobsons had 7 coils in length of spring these UK units 4. Anyway it drives nicer. Ride good handling etc good I’m happy. And I think it looks better. Also fitted new HD trailing arm and steering arm off for a wheel alignment this week. Next I’ve got to get a condenser and complete getting A/c set up. Have installed transmission tunnel carpet and sound deadening much nicer place to be now the transfer case is just a gentle whine..
