Big day last Thursday got gas in A/c and ...it works great! Guy supplying gas quipped that I had guaranteed that was end of any warm weather in Melbourne for this summer :) So - the Vintage Air Gen11 unit is quieter, smaller and seems to have all A/C and heat needed than original Smiths heater with separate MrkIV aftermarket A/C all the early cars came with. Now just to fit dash back up with all hoses/ducting ..
Bit of update i've been stranded offshore India since late Feb back ?? due to COVID hence nil progress. Was thinking that two weeks self isolation would enable me to get a heap done but now they've changed that to a hotel i wonder if they'll let me bring car into the room?
I suspect not!

Well back in Covid central Melbourne been using some of stay home time on white truck. Door trim in dash in kienzle clock in and working stereo in and working great Cambridge Audio Minx in rear Focal 6.5" splits up front pioneer underseat sub with Sony MEX100 BT head unit with Dakota Digital windscreen aerial. Heater is working great which is handy at moment. Still some interior trim to finish plus tidy up in engine bay etc. Slowly making progress but shes a nice drive now. Lots of Dynamat/Dynapad used

The thing about phone-video is that it has a natural eq hump in the vocal frequency range, so it is more difficult than it otherwise would be to record 'natural' sound... if that makes sense.
Fitted A pillar and B pillar trim. Also trim panel behind B pillar and carpet sections behind front seats. And footwell panels. The original bits I'd forgotten how rough the fit up is of original trim🤣
