    Fitting front shocks

Ok trying to fit new front shocks (Bilsteins) but rubbers TOP/ bottom are so thick you can't start the retaining nut. Any clues as to how to compress them enough to start the retaining nut? Having same issue at both TOP, and bottom.

Leave out the rubber on the 'outer' side. Put a nut and washer on and tighten up. This will
Hopefully Squash the 'inner' rubber enough that you can then refit the outer rubber.
