		Hello All,
So after lots of other things taking me away from my forby, I finally took out the Disco tdi200 with the RRC suspension and ... it suxed!
For many reasons - mainly the suspension dont work on the disco from the RRC. The lack of internal space compared to the RRC as well and blah blah blah.
The only great things I liked were the diesel and the manual gears.
So I priced up everything to get the disco to the standard of the RRC and 10k came up real quick. and even then IMO lacking the internal space is a pain.
I thought... can I shove the tdi200 and manual box in to the RRC and have the space I want with the diesel giving me the range I want.
Initial reading is yes - has been done etc. Cut off mounts from disco and get them on the RRC chassis and move over other stuff. Even seemed some of the loom could connect in easy.
A few phone calls say that it will need to be engineered but thats fine too.
My biggest problem is I dont have the space to do this myself nor the right tools and would really love to have someone take both and do the swap out and get it all sorted out.
**Update - I have called a heap of people in Melbourne - I am looking to have to banged out in awesome time - not something to sit around for 6 months. Rittter MIGHT take it up... but still looking for someone

If I had the right place and tools I'd rip in to it myself and bring in all the help I could.
The way I see it... I would have to spend 10k on the disco and still not be happy or cut all land rover and get a nissian pootrol or landcruiser and spend 30k on it.... which seems stupid considering everything I have in my possession right now.
Just put the rangie body on the disco chassis! Pretty simple

Nah - Suspension between the rangie and Disco are different. I moved my Koni and Kingsprings over to the Disco and there is ZERO droop. When it lifted a wheel in the air it may as well been on level ground.
PLUS - the outriggers on the disco also sux and wont take the fuel tank in the sill like the rangie has currently.
**Hang a second.. put correct suspension on Disco and move Rangie body over... will ARB rear step fit to the Disco chassis then? That might be the winner right there?

Disco and rangie suspension is the same! The no droop could be many things like brake lines to short, sway bars, bushes!
I'd get a measuring tape out and check the chassis

		MMm, you are on to something there me thinks. That said the geo is different for sure as on the rangie it had a 2.5" lift - on the disco it went to 3"
However - I think I may have a better solution to my whole... situation.
I may have found my perfect rangie with a 300tdi already in and it might be up for grabs
Lift difference will be due to weight difference. Weight affects flex/droop
If your going to put that many $$$ into it ... Why not buy a defender/county that already has that motor and gearbox (that way you will have some resale value).... Or at least use a way gruntier motor
