Well that's a bigger job than you would expect to get that sucker out ...
Its a bloody huge thing when you pull it out still assembled. Oh ... don't forget to remove the gearbox mount (including the big aluminium bracket) and the transfer case gearshift lever .......................... Yeah, guess how I know that).
I guess I'll just pull the brake drum off and see what hides behind it. Hopefully just a seal that is easy to replace (and there is nothing else broken).
Is there anything else I should do to a 3.9 serpentine belt engine while its out ? Its a strong runner that doesn't leave oil drips on the ground (but everything was absolutely filthy dirty and covered in oil). I'll probably pull the injectors and change the "O"rings while its out.
