Swivel hub inner axle seal fitment

Hey guys, quick one, the axle seal on the swivel housing, which way does it go.

I fear I may have been putting it in the wrong way round, thus having the fluid leakage into the diff housing.

Usually I fit it spring side towards swivel, I feel like it's supposed to be towards the diff.

RAVE only says to fit the cavity on the trailing side and my English isn't working today.

    Cheers

Spring side faces the diff centre. Think of side slopes and diff oil migrating outwards under gravity. One shot grease in the swivels doesn't leak very fast.

    Yep, thanks!

    That's what I was thinking.

I did them for so many years in defence without an issue, but I kept getting moly in my 80/90 and I think it was because I was reassembling them how they came apart.

I still owe you a visit!

They always leak. It does not matter.
