    Red flashing light

The exclamation marked red light in the middle of the dash, it keeps flashing. The RR is a 1986 auto. What can trigger the light ? The RR drives fine and all fluid levels are good. I did have to top up the transmission fluid though. It has a new water pump and thermostat, plus new hoses about 4 months ago. Cheers...

    Owner's Handbook?

Is the exclamation mark by itself or inside something else?

These pages from the 1989 model - could be similar:

Mine is different to that diagram. The square in the middle is just an exclamation mark.

I had an '86 model. I'll go to the garage later and check the workshop manual.

I've just looked at the workshop manuals for 1985 (start of the new style dash binnacle) and also 1986 on and there is nothing shown for a lone exclamation mark. The exclamation marks are shown inside something, e.g., a gearwheel or brake shoes.
