    Shocks and spring advice

    Morning people I’m after advise for my 76 two door project, I need to redo the shocks and springs as at some stage it was given a lift, anyhow I want to bring it back to standard height so can someone point me in the right direction for a reasonable priced set of shocks and spring. Also any tyre recommendation again, as close as possible to standard size. Many thanks.

    I have no connection with Stuckey Tyres, but they have these tyres that may suit a restoration. Michelin have done a batch of reproduction tyres used on the old LandRovers.

    Finally received our first shipment of Michelins for Classic Land Rover. Michelin have gone to the trouble of recreating their famous 205R16 XM&S 244 for this iconic 4WD. If you are interested, they are surprisingly affordable!
    They're $425, so there was a comment that the cost is surprising, but not affordable.

    Unless you have heavy bars all over it, or planning some heavy duty 4WDing, the stock (Armstrong shocks and standard springs) are very well priced and work as well as anything else. Also the stock rubber bushes give the best ride even if they don't last as well as poly bushes.

    The rubber bushes will last for yonks (except rear upper) if you use poly as the 'locator' on the rebound side......... i.e. ride quality is kept.

    Even longer lasting if you use Toy cups which are thick and gal. Just need the holes the cups sit in to be reamed out a little to accommodate the extra thickness.
