I can’t be the first person with this problem.
My LH plastic sill finisher is in 3 pieces
Both breaks are neat and fit back together well.
Has anyone successfully glued them or had them plastic welded.
There available new for 195 GBP plus postage, but there must be a fix

What would life be without a Rangie?
There's some new plastic glues about that would be worth a try
If you can get to the back of the broken pieces (appears you can) a strip of thin plastic can be affixed with super glue. The strips will hold the two parts together and reinforce the joint. I have successfully used pieces cut from the lids on packets of screws etc sold in any hardware store. It is thin, but doesn't flop around.
Once joined back together, carefully apply some filler to the front. Something like Gorilla glue will be viscous enough and it can be tinted or just painted over with a small artist's brush.
Hope this helps
I bought some plastic weld to see how it would go.

I bonded the parts on Sunday and while I have not tested the joints they seam reasonably solid. Only time will tell.
Gave the joins a bit of a sand and with some finer paper they will likely not look any worse than the reast of the sill finisher.
Held them back to back and you can see that they both have a significant bow in them.
Is it just a case of lay them out in the sun with weights on them to straighten them out.

Clamp the flat flange bits either side of something straight and leave them in the sun.
I've got 2 pristine ones in storage that aren't straight and last time I looked one had developed a longitudinal split. Fragile stuff.
The ones on my POS are bowed each end past the end of the of the flat flange, on both sides of the body.

They looks to be quite soft and pliable on '92 models. Did they change the type of plastic used? If so, possibly chase up some later ones
If its a thermoset plastic, welding htem would be the best option for repair.

I think APT fab in brisbane used to make these in steel as proper rock sliders. However I do not believe they manufacture them anymore. They were a mirror profile and looked awesome.
I guess another expensive option would be a proper carbon fibre part reinforced to serve as a real rock slider - sacrificial but strong - and additional stiffness to the sills.
Not that it'd be worthwhile unless you had access to an autoclave and a lot of 'free' carbon...
starting to give myself ideas for unnecessary projects..... hmmm

Had a few minutes to spare today so I got some fine wet and dry to sand down the joins.
While sanding one I bumped the other one that was standing on its end and it fell on the floor and the “bonded” joint fell apart
I was able to easily peel the adhesive off.
Perhaps it was poor preparation but I thought I had done everything correctly, or it’s just the wrong adhesive for this material![]()
