Still on my voyage of discovery with my 86 EFI I picked up a year ago...
Measurements using a dial gauge on the hydraulic lifter
BTDC = before top dead centre
ATDC = after top dead centre
BBDC = before bottom dead centre
ABDC = after bottom dead centre
A) measurements using minimum (0.001") lift:

Inlet Closed 84 ABDC
Lift: 6.65mm /0.262"
Duration: 294 deg
Peak angle 66 BBDC
Exhaust Opens 79 BBDC
Exhaust Closed 41 ATDC
Lift: 6.8mm /0.268"
Duration: 300 deg
Peak angle 65 ABDC

My mystery cam seems to have a longer duration and wider lobe separation than standard. I don't know enough to understand what that means - my guess is that the cam is designed for top end power ?

Maybe a John E. Davis Motorworks cam? They built the engine in my ‘86 RRC, bored, stroked, aftermarket EFI system, etc. John’s brother, Bruce, split and formed Davis Performance Landys. They built the engine in my P38A (full balance, HC pistons, new cam, etc.).
The new cam is the interesting bit, they took an RRC cam and reworked it for the P38A.
You could try Bruce for info. They no longer do the machining work they used to do since they moved from Amaroo to South Windsor but he may still have the info.
