I think you need new bushes! And make sure the weight is on the suspension before tightening the bolts.

Pretty sure Phil was having a lend...

Gorilla grip will do it well - as long as you let it harden properly

Yes, I was doing a bit of leg pulling

I do have a new set of front suspension bushes but they were only about $48 for the complete set (4 radius arm to axle, 2 panhard, and 4 radius arm to chassis).
It just seems a little cheap for that many bushes, and I’m not that keen to pull it all apart in a couple of years to replace them again.

I should add that I have done a lot of suspension system design over the years in the Rail industry and we have always used rubber and not polyurethane as rubber has a better life and vibration isolation, so I would prefer rubber components.

    Any recommendation?

Do you need extra flex or mostly road-manners?

super-pro if you want handling and road manners - there is enough give in them.

But hard to find good rubber ones.
Nissan patrol 'holey' bushes apparently are a thing for the flex guys. I do not know if they are a direct-fit replacement, or if some machine work is required.

Super pro, they're soft, durable, precision sleeves and you don't need a press.

You'll never go back to rubber if you fit them. They're the ONLY poly bushes I'd use and that's based on experience.

Well, based on the responses on here I have removed the bushes and will order some Super Pro ones to replace them with.
I had a local mechanical repair shop remove and press in the ones I supplied for the rear suspension and he charged me nearly what Super Pro would have cost for the bushes and I could have put them in myself

The removal of the front bushes was a little time consuming cutting the rubber out enough to then cut through the outer sleeve, but I got there in the end

Pre-covid Super Pro as a whole kit were way cheaper from Paddocks in the UK (even with freight) than anywhere in OZ.

I don't know if they still stock them or what the freight might be these days.

I posted how to get the a-frame ball joint out of the bracket (that you'd be very familiar with) without a press about that era.................. same method obviously works on sleeved rubber bushes in metal shells.

    cheers, DL
