I figured that but just thought I'd mention it. It seems that these 80s chassis don't rust out like the Series ones do. Probably less traps for muck.

Crap. Why can't I have friends like that, instead of the ones who just use you for help and then **** off? :mad:Quote:

Nice, clean-looking Rangie. I'd say that's a keeper.

My recently aquired junk. '86, 3.5EFI, 5-speed, lift, 31x10.5 Kumho KL-71's, spotties, uhf, dual batteries and just over 500,000km. $1000 regoed :p. Got a 30mm bodylift mostly made ready to fit, then will be making a new roof rack, new front bar for a winch, rear bar and swingout wheel carrier.
Bought this old girl a while ago, under $1000 and drove her 200km home.
Currently undergoing a few repairs for excessive territorial instincts and a cosmetic tart up, A Charcoal or gunmetal? 1983 model with a 4 speed...... SWMBO found her and suggested I buy it and as she must be obeyed I did just that in the interests of domestic harmony.
I actually wanted a 2a wagon first but lifes like that.
Amazing vehicle mechanically very good and well looked after she came with full books and even the original purchasers details, receipt etc which makes me the 4th owner.
Originally bought in Sydney and fitted with the "Gotti" Mag wheels she still sports now although they are coming off shortly to be checked and refurbished with some more aggressive tyres to be fitted.
Paint wise? Rough as guts and she has a few bush scars and rub marks which will be repaired over time coz Birmabright scares me when it comes to knocking out dents.

And coz you can see my old Rangie in the above pics heres a few of her.
1984 Silver 4 door with 3 speed Torqueflite Auto, slow as hell but she used to tow anything.
We have had her coming on 12 years now and she is knackered in many ways and will for the time being donate some parts for the new toy and then afford me the luxury of time to do a full rebuild retaining everything except the engine which will be swapped out for something bigger to suit the auto a bit better. (So no im not wrecking her)
