I can tell it is an older photo for the Green 2 door by the rego sticker but any chance you have more photos/info of it? Resprayed? Front panels look similar to Lincoln Green but doors, roof and quarters look a bit richer in colour.
Yes Lincoln green 79 model, it has been resprayed, but you can see the original paint under the bonnet, and it is very close to the same color only not shiny.
That photo is a little over saturated. looks stock under the bonnet as it's got the original carbs modified for the 4.6 and rectangular air filter elements that cost me $90 for the 2!
This may help: My 4.6 V8 Rebuild Thread![]()
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
Yeah have been following that thread but there is nothing too specific about how to set up the Strombergs.
Dave109's set of Rangies are really nice!
I do not know much about the setup of the strombergs, it was done thu Graham Cooper, but can photograph a note that was added to the manual, might mean something to someone with knowledge of these carbs. The head work mentioned is some porting and matching the ports to the manifolds, also has headers and 2.5 inch exhaust. Cannot fault the running of it, is smooth and adequate power across the range. Haven't measured but seem to use less fuel than my 3.5.
my old all walnut n' leather obligatory Ardennes Green 93 Vogue SE ripper ride might be time for another I'm thinking!
Here's my '88 Range Rover sporting its freshly powder coated steel wheels.
