Here is an interesting project for you.
As you know, a lot of people waffle on about how economical the GM engine is, and how good it would be in a land rover.

Okay, we know that engine is quite economical in a Holden Sedan. Do a Google and have a look at what happens to the economy in a heavier AWD Cross 8

IMHO, the Gen 3 is still a Truck engine.

Why not the New Ford Quad cam V8??? At least ford for there new engines to Euro spec, unlike GM who bribed the old engine back into production....

This would be a cheap way to go diesel. Easiest would be to drop the rangie body on the disco chassis. Just an idea.

I was thinking about a td5 in a classic rangie and thought about your suggestion about swapping bodies but isnt that illegal ie ringing? or is it if you own both vehicles?

Go the Tdi, what a beauty of an engine and you could always get a diesel/gas system fitted down the track which would make it a ripper of a system.

    Isuzu with Turbo
In all my ADF years, never had a problem with the old 3.9.
    Maybe Dave (BlkKnight)will tell otherwise

The 6x6 had a turbo and I guess Weeds and Dave will know what it was like.

As for the others... not after the comments in this forum..
