    Those are hallmarks of a poorly done conversion.

    Use the proper engine mounts and noise/vibration isn't a problem. But it will always sound like a diesel at idle.
    Use the Isuzu gearbox and you'll never need replace it. I have adaptors drawn up to fit it to the LT230 in it's original position.

    By the way, you can get cast iron Gen 3's, they're canadian blocks
