Well - while I manage to get the rangie fired up & purrrrring on the weekend, I took note of the speakers in the driver door... not low mounted but HIGH mounted speakers... good old brain fade there.

So for the door speakers mounted high up... what size are they?

They are a four inch speaker, just make sure that the magnet isn't to bit. Depend on whether the speaker is behind the door card and thus hidden (my fathers 88 rangie is like this) or whether the speaker grill is exposed - my 90 RR is like this

Just do not go out and buy 4 inch speakers with big magnets as they will not fit, as there is a internal brace in the door, towards the front of the hole.
As I said previously, Jaycar sell ( or used to anyway)a 4 inch speaker with a small magnet.
If you take the doortrims off you will see a hole in the back for 6 inch rounds at the bottom front. You can cut this out with stanley knife and fit any 6 inch round.
