ok, since Grover-98 started the non-RRC option, here's my $10k worth... :D
Don't get me wrong, I love the RRC (I've had a couple), but at $10k you are in P38A territory. I was happy to pick up this beast for around that figure:
- 1999 RR P38A 4.0 V8
- HRA 2" lift plus EAS works great on road and off-road
- Arnott Gen 3 air springs and extended Bilstein shocks
- overall around 5" more travel than standard P38A (which is pretty impressive anyway)
- 33" Bighorns
- ARB rear air locker (operated by EAS compressor)
- 4.1 diffs to compensate for big tyres
- quick disconnect sway bars
- HRA front bullbar
then added at no additional cost as I already had them from my "old" P38A:
- rear bar and tyre carrier
- GME UHF radio
- IPF driving lights
- headlight guards
- DVD/iPod stereo replacement
stuff to do as budget and availability permits:
- snorkel ($ ??)
- rock sliders ($ ??)
- diff and steering protection ($ ??)
- FaultMate SV diagnostics unit ($1500)
- smaller tyres for rego checks ($1000-$1500)
On the road it handles almost as well as a "normal" P38A except it sits a bit higher and the tyre noise level is greater.
