Any one wrecking an 86-92 RRC

    Hi all,
I am looking for the panel that runs across the car just behind the bonnet. Any color is ok just as long as it is in good condition. It is ok if it has a hole for snorkel drilled out.
Something in melbourne would be best.

    thanks,

    Adam

For some obscure reason it is called a Decker Panel.

Remember some have external bonnet hinges (< 88???) and some later internal.

Hi steve, I sort of stuffed up mine when cutting out for a 4" snorkel.

I can just use some aluminium and make a cover to pop rivet on but it would look better if I replaced it all.
I did look at the photo's of yours and noticed they were a "bit" bent.
What is your's like on the passenger side? Maybe I could use it somehow.

Phillip, I am pretty sure anything from 86-92 had internal hinges which is what I am after.

I just thought that it is probaly not a panel that many people would need so if anyone was wrecking then they might want to get rid of it.

    Yes, my 03/87 has internal.

But more importantly, isn't there anyone in Melb that has a panel for me!

    Adam,
Sorry I can't help with the panel, but my ears *****ed up when you mentioned 4" snorkel.

I currently have a LRA snorkel fitted and would like something larger.

I would be grateful for more info about your 4" snorkel - would be better than what I have.

Will post up some pics when I get around to taking them.

Fitting the snokel was not easy at all. It s a tight fit and you have to cut away most of the bonnet supports...but it is possible.

Ther is a place in Bayswater (melb) who can make them.
