Radiator options for an 84
I need a new radiator for the car. Currently we have 2 dead ones. What's the best option? Are there any cheap china alloy ones available or is a re-core the best option. The drivetrain is being swapped from a dead 3.5 + tf auto to a P76 and 4-speed, so we want to get the radiator right to keep everything cool and running nicely.

Don't know about cheaper replacement options, but I can tell you there is no need to upsize to cope with the 4.4; my 88 with 4.4&ZF maintains correct engine temperature in all conditions with the standard radiator, including desert towing. Had it re-cored last year, not cheap.

I have a radiator for a 6 cyl Falcon AU that I am putting in mine. I have some other jobs before I get to it though and my engine is a diesel so not as hard to keep cool.
There is a thread (probably in projects) of fitting a Falcon radiator (but different model to what I have).
I bought it a while back, brand new a bit over $200 from memory. Something to think about.

Had the same problem with my 84 RRC 3.5ltr with a Tflite, we solved it by retro fitting a Rad from an younger Rangie 4 years difference tops.
This radiator was a little bigger Id say aproxx 80mm wider and 60 mm taller .
It still fit and the bonnet closed properly.
All we had to do was cut off the side mounts for the existing radiator (these are located just behind the radiator support panel an inch or so up from the chassis rails.
Once they were removed the new radiator had the locating pegs on the bottom of the Rad , I marked out the new holes on the cross rail at the front of the chassis rails with a scribe, drilled them out, dropped the new one in with some rubber mat between the rad and the chassis and rebent the top radiator mounts (On the side tanks near the top of the radiator)
Once thats done, its a matter of connecting the hoses back up as they are in the same position. fill it with coolant, bleed any air out of the system and you should be fine
