Brooklands RRC's
Does anyone know where i can get hold of chassis VIN's for Brooklands RRC's. I might have found one at a really good price.
It could be an Autoboigraphy, but not sure. It has the Brooklands bumpers and is the right colour Green and from the pictures show a nice interior.
Anyone with info/ideas of how to ID it properly, the help would be great.
Cheers
Chris

I've never heard of a Brooklands model out here at all, or a RRC Autobiography.
A Google search shows it being a RRC with a body kit. They were sold here as Vogue SSE's & available in a few colours from memory.
The limited edition green RR sold here was the Sherwood in 1992. It had the chrome bumpers to distinguish it from the regular RR & a few other different bits & pieces.

Scouse,
I found out about them a few years back when we were looking at buying our 3rd RRC. The wife is English and were going to buy one there, and ship it over.
Check out the following links.

Neil,
Cheers for the help, have contacted the president of RRR.

Thanks Chris. I'm sure the Sherwood sold here was Brooklands Green so there might be a connection somewhere along the line.

Scouse,
I reckon you might be right there. Brooklands in UK/USA, Sherwood in Aus.

Chris,
In the UK, the special edition "Brooklands" body kit was available from late 1991 to september 92. Supplied by TWR it came with optional 5 star alloys. In June 92 it became the Brooklands with the Green paint. It also exported to Holland & Switzerland.
From then on the kit became a feature of the "Autobiography"program until close of business in May 1995 - any colour any trim.
I think you may find that establishing VIN# is hard as other than that first series the add-ons where ad hoc and possibly added at dealer level & also
the "Brooklands" body kit has been available for many years as an aftermarket accessory - Rimmer Bros in the UK may still sell them..
Other than date, look for TWR stamps on the mouldings, chrome inserts on the bumpers - that'll sort out the real bits from the aftermarket stuff
good luck!
