    low beam lights on

My low beam lights stay on even when every thing is off. No other lights stay on. I have to pull the fuses out to save the battery and put them back in to drive at night. High beam is unaffected. Any suggestions before the electrician hits me with a big bill?

Stuck relay ? Melted switch ? Either of the two are common enough. What model RR?

my guess would be relay. You might as well rewire your lights while your there and put some desent sized wire in there.

    lights stuck on

My low beam lights have come on on my 87 RR and cannot be turned off. All other lights are off. I have to remove the fuses to stop the battery flattening. Any suggestions before I have to send a lot on auto-electrical work.

I thought you'd asked this earlier on today .

There were a couple of replies to your original question (where ever it is).

    relay and lights

It's an 87 model. So you reckon it might be a relay. That's a good start. Thanks for the info

Thye do not have a relay. The switch contacts have melted together. Quite common , particularly if you have higher wattage bulbs fitted. cheap(ish) fix new switch . Better fix new switch plus headlight harness via relay. Regards Philip A
