    Front Break lines

hey guys need some help, ive had my 76 2 door for about 6 months now n well i love is standard but it just gets stuck to much. Im looking at giving it a lil body/ suspention lift. Rear break lines are diff mounted so i will just need a longer conecting line. where as my front lines come from in the bonnet and theres 2 on each side..

QUESTION 1 y is there 2 break lines on each side at the front, just seems like a lot of fluid to push espesially having abooster.

QUESTION 2 can i just go and get a set of say 89 front break lines which im hopeing are diff mounted..?? and hook all that up when i do the lift. n maby while im there give the breaks a lil rebuild!

QUESTION 3 is it too good to good to start moding for a mud pig?

Should i take it bak to standard. it is a lil rough.
    cheers

Hi not sure what to give first, some answers or spelling lessons
The Brakes on your '76 should be imperial sizes so the '89 brake lines will not simply bolt in, they are metric from about 1980 on.
LRA sell little 2" extension pipes for the front.
The system is a split system.
Tyres are probably a simpler solution to being stuck.
Clean 2 doors are getting harder to find

If its for a mud pig for front just cut the lower brackets off the inner guard, carefully bend the steel pipe and lower the pipes till you are content. Then weld a piece of flat to take up the gap.

For the rear turn the T piece so points up and your done

If all off road weld the rear diff and carry a few spare axles.

Here's a pic of the Hog. It started life looking like your truck!!

Once you start there's no going back!!!

The Mudhog is off the road while I fix up a few rust issues.

I have fiited a 2 inch body lift while we have had all the gaurds off for the
repairs. I have rubber flare to replace the old fiberglass one's that keep cracking.

    Cheers

no winch on the hog mate..? dont get stuck.. or just hope ur mates will get you out..?
ahh beloved cancer im gonna need to get on the rust converter and body deadner wagon before i do too much..
good thing about body deadner is it fills in all the lil rust holes
are ur new flares the same shape or just the ugly standard screw in ruber srips..?

Go buy some 2"+ lifted springs and shocks to suit, then get some extended brake lines (the rubber hose ones)x5, or spend a little more and get braided ones, get them made atleast 75mm longer, then some decent rubber (size and tread pattern), flares, 2"body lift if needed, and you should be set for a while until you need a locker (not a CIG, it will last 5minutes until you break an axle) and axles, then another locker, then highmount, then more horsepower blah blah blah

Winch is happening, I have a Thomas PTO for the front of the Hog!!

Have had it sitting in place and am now trying to mount it further back so that I keep my approach angle!!

    Attachment 19571

The winch came of another truck I have for parts. Here's a pic of the winch cleaned up.

    Attachment 19572

I was looking at mid mounting the winch, but because I am going to run synthetic rope it was not going to work with out problems. So I'm just going to play around with the front option.

    Cheers
