    93 classic rear windows dont work..??

    Hello all,
    just acquired a 93 classic and have found that the rear windows dont work..., well they work just not with the computer(i held down one of the relays in the computer to force them to work...)
    anyone experienced this before or have a solution??
    or am i in need of a new window lift computer??

    More likely a problem with the connections. Check over the switches, give them and all the connections a squirt with WD40, and it should rectify the problem. (Just check to see if the rear window isolator is in or out).

    Yea ... on the console switch panel is the "rear windows" lock out switch ... give this a clean also

    Just check all plugs and give them a clean up ... I clean with cuircut board cleaner fluid

    Er, I was just going to say"try it with the childproof switch in the other position" . There are no computers involved with RRC windows.

    There is a computer/controller of sorts that allows the auto down and time delay functions to work.

    My 93rrc rears played up and it was a dry solder joint as per the problems found in d1 disco window controls.

    There are plenty of threads around about finding and repairing the problem.

    Oops , Up to 92 there was no computer, only a one touch for the drivers window and 2 relays.
    Looks like Rover decided that it was too trouble free so added a computer for a very simple operation in 93 so that drivers could be vexed in 10 or so years.

    its seems to be a computer problem.. maybe a dry joint... if i wiggle the computer connection it seems to work... bloody rover lol
