Sorry I meant overall the lse has more in common with a discovery then a nonsoft dash classic. The dash was first put in a disco and then slight changes made for the uppermarket range rover, like an analogue clock. My info may not be a 100% correct as it is only sourced from Landrover fanatics that have grown up in the range rover and landrover clubs. That said was also informed on the weekend apparently Nsw got 30 of the 50 and Victoria the other 20. And since they have found homes across Australia. One just sold in vic for $7500 and in pretty good condition too.
There would have to be more than 50, I have probably seen close to 50 over time, I have seen at least 15 wrecked ones.
As for NSW/Vic thing, I know of at least 2 LSE's sold new in SA.

South Australia.
15 wrecked soft dashes what a shame.
I guess contacting Landrover would be the only way to really find out.

I prefer the LSE's to the P38's (in general) except for teh locastion of the EAS gear under the sill....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
gone
1993 Defender 110 ute "Doris"
1994 Range Rover Vogue LSE "The Luxo-Barge"
1994 Defender 130 HCPU "Rolly"
1996 Discovery 1
current
1995 Defender 130 HCPU and Suzuki GSX1400
In matters of taste there is, of course, no dispute, but in my humble the P38 is an abomination against god; being neither fish nor fowl.
As Clarkson would put it, the P38 has no soul.
They will all go to the knackery, but the classic will endure.
It's like the W126 Mercedes S Class - an incredibly long production run, because the body shape was just so elegant.
Proud 1994 LSE owner. Working air suspension. Just about to clock 300k.
Agree location of air suspension components is woeful. Especially compressor filter behind subwoofer. Still, love 'em or leave 'em...
is that where it is LOL
in some ways the classic's eas location is great, the valve block and compressor last so much longer than the p38 as there is no high engine bay heat, but yes it is in a stupid location if you hit water or hard off road.
