    I'll guess 1983.

Edit: Maybe there was a few MY82's left over

AFAIK assembled in Sydney until 1982, then fully imported till 1984.

Test drove a 3.5 4 speed 1984 2 door before I bought my POS. Was supposedly the last year of the 2 doors according to the owner.

    cheers, DL

Here's my late 81. Was imported as a 4 speed man but converted to 3 speed auto at assembly.

Now it has a 5 speed R380 and LT230. Engine needs a tune but she is is great fun to drive.

I had a blue '83 also but was sure that in the UK, they had them till 85-86.

One of my favourite RRC's, the only issue were the big doors, hard to get out of car in car parks or tight garages and the flipping seat belt in the seats.

I'm sure I read in LROI, at some stage, there were some UK specials made in the 90's too?

    Just checked Wiki:

Charles Spencer King (1990) In 1990 a special 20th anniversary edition of the Range Rover was created—the Range Rover CSK (CSK being the initials of the original designer, Charles Spencer King). Only 200 CSKs were ever made, all of which were two-door vehicles.

Nothing to do with what was the last year for 2 doors in Oz but interesting!
    Cheers,

    Are you sure?

1981s were assembled here! (Does it have a CKD or export VIN?)

The Borg Warner 35 - 3 speed autos were were dealer supplied and warrantied but not factory assembled. In Sydney we used to buy the complete manual gearsets to re-build worn LT95 boxes from the people who did the conversions. The whole set cost less than individual gears from JRA.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

As far as I know 1984 was the last of the Australian Delivery 2 doors. I just wrecked one
I think the CSK in England ran until the 90's

Yes a CKD but the vin decodes as a 4 speed manual. Always on the lookout for bits to do her up. Looking for window rubber for the rear glass.

    Maybe a respray one day.

    Thanks Diana
