    nothing special about a generic front perentie diff.

    Thanks for clearing that up Dave, did the Army ever bend them? Mabey they arnt that weak after all.

    On the weighbridge it says I have 2500 kg,s on the front axle of mine and I dont seem to have bent it yet.
    Though I worry about the strength of the neck of the swivel housings. (chrome balls)

    i dont recall seeing any bent....i did however have to panel beat the fronts and weld patchs after the crown wheel had worn a hole in it

    Worked alongside the Army tech adviser for B Vehicles in the late 80's. We discussed this at one time. He advised that all Isuzu front axle housings are strengthened internally with a pressed in tube (laminated). No visible sign exists external to the housing. If you put a 4bd1 in a non Isuzu landy, then you should fit the front axel along with it. Hope this helps.
