So far on my perentie.
I've removed the blackout switch and reduced lighting. Installed a usb power port in place of the switch. Fixed all the terrible wiring. Fitted relays to the headlights with 25 amp wire, praise be light! Fitted rfsv lock boxes, falce floor and marine carpet, New air filter box hose, and lastly new tyres. Haulmax ATT 304 actually, and be live me. They are fantastic.

What did I do on my Perentie today???? Well I went out to Grays in Welshpool this morning and picked her up. I am now the proud owner of RFSV ARN 51-745. I put about 70 kms on the clock taking her home. I will have a crack at licensing her tomorrow. All going well I hope to have some new shiny WA plates on her tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I am being too optimistic but you never know your luck. Hopefully not too many issues to rectify for licensing.
Anyway I had a look through all the lockers and found a full set of tools as well as a heap of recovery gear, original jack, air line for the compressor, tyre levers and a heap more bits and pieces including a tire repair kit and about 5 new inner tubes. I will lay it all out and get a couple of photos on the weekend all going well.
One thing that puzzles me though is what I found when I had a good look at the ignition key when I got home. The key for her is attached to a camouflage key wallet with the letters ARN 51-745 written in permanent marker as well as a plastic key label attached with the letters ARN 51-745 and the description Irwin Barracks Karrakatta. It got me thinking though. Why would an RFSV be assigned to a metropolitan location like Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta?
She is in excellent condition and it looks like very little off road work has been done in her but I was under the impression that she was from the Pilbara Regiment until I saw that key label today. The label looks like it is quite old and a bit worn so I don't think it was something that was put together while the vehicle was waiting to be sold by Grays and stored at Karrakatta until the auction took place but I could be wrong. Any knowledge or feedback that could shine some light on the history of ARN 51-745 would be very welcome.
