Buffalo is the brand. It's actually located in Miami of all places!

Just a bit hesitant to lay down the coin. I mean, it looks like it will fit the motor, but does anyone know the details of the normal pump (like pressure, capacity etc)

The listing has these details attached to it.

OUTLET: G1/4 Manufacturer Part Number: BF443061160QA ROTATION: RIGHT Interchange Part Number: 8-97081-999-0 FLOW: 10 L/MIN Warranty: Yes CUBIC NOMINAL DIS: 12 CC INLET: O18 MM BAR: 100

hmmmm, comparing the picture on ebay to those on graysoline, the ebay one looks like it has 3 bolts to attach to the motor. The army ones appear to have only 2 and the flange is a different shape.

Grays on line had pumps in the last auction if that helps.

The picture looks good, you'll have fun with the outlet though.

I might have one of these pumps I could sell you if you want.

    Regards,
Caveat emptor. None of the pumps are new and one has to ask yourself why were they taken off the engine in the first place? I have never seen any of the red the inspection tags (Unserviceable) on anything at the auctions, so you have to ask if they are always fitted by the Army when inspected why aren't they still attached?

It could merely be a faulty oil seal or O ring, but it could also be that the gears are so worn that it no longer works as a pump.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Agreed Diana but still much cheaper than new even if they had to be rebuilt.

    Regards,
Well i just coughed up $300 for one at the auctions. Hopefully it works.
Is there a seal kit for them or do you just throw it in and hope for the best?

Also may have found a second hand Disco 1 steering box. I know people have mentioned getting a seal kit for them. Anyone have a source?

Hey Chris, check out this thread. I think it was my first project hence all the questions haha, but it should have seals and orings etc in it for overhauling the PAS and steering box.

    PAS Install

    awesome! Thanks man.

I knew I'd seen a thread with the right info in it, but I was searching for ' Power steering' not PAS-install.
