    fitting hard top to perentie

I just purchased a perentie with canvas top and think I'd prefer to fit a hard top-anyone done that and know where to find one?

A Series roof won't match the top of the windscreen. Civillian hard tops are very rare in this country.
Perhaps a 5 door wagon roof, with Series hardtop sides and upper tailgate, would fit. Is yours an FFR? If so you'll need to remove the rear transom and fit a tailgate, or door.
If you don't want to muck around with wreckers, I suspect your best bet is to import from the UK.

If you want to go Ute type hard top, the defender / 110 roof will fit with either a series or defender cab back. The defender one is the pick with better windows and allows seats to go back further. You will need to remove the 2 angled mount on the front of the tubes that the toolbar fits into on the body capping, as well as the soft top clamping strip above the windscreen. If you want a full length hard top, I believe series hard top sides can be fitted if they are relieved to fit around the mounting point for the rollbar brace, or the mount removed if you don't wish to keep the soft top option for summer.

You will also need a new rear door for the GS. The FFR and others might cause problems with the rear body work.

We have looked at Tithonus hard tops very good but very few about. We will be gradbing the next ones that do come up.

Has anybody been able to fit a hard top on a soft top perentie?
I have sourced a hard top and body from an older model land rover. What modifications would need to be done if any?
