Thread: Change in engine sound when idling - clutch in/out. Normal for an Isuzu?

    The isuzu gearboxes have a really heavy input shaft seal to damp out the input shaft rattle. I once used a standard shaft seal and the rattle was terrible. Fitted the isuzu seal and noise greatly reduced.

    It's the input shaft seal on the Isuzu MSA gearboxes. It's found by unbolting the bellhousing and sliding it off.
