Looking for options on what colour to paint Perentie can't decide...

Thought I'd let people through some other opinions at me as I can't decide on what colour to paint Perentie and many minds are better than one, just a bit of fun...

I'm thinking either satin black with the old Chrysler orange like on the pacers as highlights such as grill, headlight surrounds ect

    Or

    That American army tan colour

Throw some ideas of what you'd do at me as I really can't decide...

The tan would look awesome. Save having to make the bodywork too perfect before painting too.
With black highlights and some military hardware attached (maybe the cars nickname stencilled onto the side in black, military style) it would look pretty badass i reckon.

If you don't like Auscam (and why wouldn't you), why not Olive Drab?

Yeah i really like the tan idea and some stenciling. I'll be honest auscam isn't really my thing personally, to me it looks a bit tacky, I understand a lot of people on here are history/military buff collector type people and that's absolutely fine, but it just isn't personally my thing and all my army mates would laugh at me, you get the whole pretend soldier thing going on... If im going to spend the money and time on it, painting etc i want people to go wow checkout that land rover and olive drab doesn't really do that...

The colour your looking for is FDE (flat dark earth).
It's military without being camo or OD green.
I'll be painting my 130 that colour with black chequer plate over the top.
You will need to visit a hobby shop to get some model paint, prime and paint a "sample" plate and get it "eye" matched.
I have not been able to find any codes for it.

Thanks Cliffy if you go on this site they have a heap of different American military tans and others they've used on various vehicles and other things over the years with the codes for different brands ect, worth a look anyway...
I'm sure i was looking at an even better site the other day, i forgot to bookmark it, ill see if i can find it...
I'm looking at the modern desert one but just a tiny, tiny bit darker to make it seem more vivid and the black highlights really stand out...

These are the standard colours. I reckon that 3 cans of Brown would cover the whole exterior.

hahaha Sorry I Should of pointed out I plan on building a very special and different perentie project with quite a large budget and a full body off nut and bolt restoration/custom project not some dodgy backyard job... My brother in law owns a paint and body shop so it will be sprayed by him in a booth ect and look like a factory paint job. I'm not going out to the shed with a couple of cans of spray paint. haha
This is my Audi he painted he's pretty good (excuse the mess we were moving workshops at the time)
