Why are you doing all this?
Each state conforms to the same ADR's. I just registered a Perentie yesterday and didn't have a problem. Tool brackets were on the bonnet. Exhaust was out the side. Blackout lights are still functioning.
I've heard some horror stories but that was caused by road worthy certificate issuers that didn't know their job (or were trying to manufacture work for themselves).

I registered my FFR at Regency earlier this year. You don't need to do any of that stuff.

All they cared about was it had a key, and that I was going to take the convoy lights off.

All up - took about 20 or 30 minutes. No dramas at all, and mine had a full compliment of shovel/axes/etc on the bonnet.

Thanks guys. I have been told by an engineer who does roadworthies that this needed to be done!
I think I'll do some of it as I want to clean up the tools mounts anyway, but the rear jerry holders are not coming off without some serious work.
I might give it a go at Regency and then sort out any issues which arise.
I have the keys and barrels to fit today.

Did you have the aerial mounts on your FFR at regency?

I think I have mention elsewhere.........I think they are being registered mainly because they come with a safety certificate and have been driven in the roads the whole life. I reckon the majority of inspectors don't know there job.......

Based on discussion with a guy I know who is a vehicle engineer/modification approver...based on his interpretation of the regs/ADR etc that he has to work with they do not conform and that he would never issue a safety certificate without changes.

One example, if I posted in the 110 area that I fitted a roll cage and relocated my seatbelt mounting points everybody would jump in and say it illegal as it a mod and I don't have a blue plate fitted and I might have insurance problems.........umm the defence force fitted ROPS and relocated the seat belts and it's suddenly OK be cause it's ex military.....anyway that just my two bobs worth

But it was done by the manufacturer and complies with ADRs of the time. It is technically not a modified vehicle unlike if you did the same to a civvy 110.

You sure it was done by the manufacturer??........they were fitted in army workshops, I was under the impression they were designed by ARMY

And conformed with the ADR's of the time. They have compliance plates fitted.
