The LED lights on AFM's Perentie are LED Autolamps 80BARWs.

Welcome to LED Technologies Pty. Ltd.

Incidentally, they are what I have on my Defender as you would've seen in that link. LED Autolamps have another option that would fit - the Australian made one in their catalogue - and Narva have one too. None of them have a similar appearance to the Hella unfortunately.

Yeah I did read through your thread and saw them but was after something more similar to the original. Will check out what you suggested above.

The hardest part is finding a cab - from there it is easy.

    12V 1W High Power LED Car Light Bulb White+Warm White - AU$2.65

$2.65 AUD, posted to your door from Hong Kong, in 7-10 wdays.

Ive used ebay/chinese leds like this on every car in the past 5+ years and basically.. if they survive the fitting of the globe (manhandling) they are good for ever haha.

Older styles were much weaker and could break when 'twisting' the bayonet into it. Not a problem with these newer ones, they are greattttttt

Also on the too bright note, camera lens's do enhance lighting effects - take a look at the original 'dim' one and see how bright it looks in the pic compared to your eyes. The LEDs are definately brighter, but not going to dazzle anyone. On the 'bright' side, I can drive up my narrow driveway without headlights haha.

As for reversing, well.. those 1w ones probably wont cut it.. twin 7W crees? yes please. Also wiring in a 10W cree wide angle floodlamp for even more reversing lumens but thats not done yet ;-) will post pics when they arrive?

(the link/url i posted seems to be auto turning into an ebay advertisement for a different thing.. goto ebay, search for item 231283497987 for reversing lights, $2.56 AUD each side (so $5.12 total) posted to your door, 7-10 wdays)

Also.. heat is a non issue. The only issue is newer cars (like 2006 range rover vogues...) will actually think the bulbs blown due to the extremely low current draw and as such, the dash will say 'light blown' AND cut power to the socket! Intelligent motoring at its finest..
I've installed the 7w Crees in the reversing lights and they are fantastic.I have a fairly long steep driveway and they light up the whole thing almost like spotlights! I have the 7.5w dual filament bulbs on order for the stop/tail lights but I'm now worried they may be too bright. I have some 5w Crees coming as well for the turning indicators.
    Cheers

    Mike

What's the secret to changing a globe in the indicators on the front fenders? Are the lights a push in fitting or does it require removing the inner guard to access screws/bolts that hold the lights in place?

    Thanks in advance!
