300tdi and auto in a perentie

Few quick question about perenties 300tdi and auto gearboxes
Im aware of a few places that have put autos in defenders and its mostly just a simple bolt in task so I figure doing it to a perentie cant be much more difficult but am here to ask those in the know.
As far as I know only chassis difference is at the rear for spare tire otherwise its a defender chassis thats galvanised correct?
With the Isuzu engine I guess engine mounts are different?
Any welding required to change engine mounts to fit a 300tdi?
Will a 300tdi and auto gearbox fit a perentie and how difficult?
Which transfer case would be best to use?
Wiring loom Im guessing doesn't have the same plug so would need both sides of connector from donor vehicle?

    Now I have read everything...

Please sell your perentie before you ruin it...

Mounts are different, welding is required, it will fit, will require lt230, but why on earth would you do this?
Pretty sure I could do you a deal with a 300tdi, auto and transcase on your Isuzu, and lt95

    Dear god no.

I have a RRC with a 4BD1T and manual gearbox. I have another RRC with 300tdi and auto. I would never, ever swap the 4BD1T for a 300tdi. Even if I had to give the turbo away I'd stick with the Isuzu.
The combination of small engine with low torque and a slushbox is not a good one.

I have plans to improve the torque of the 300tdi. But my plans for the auto involve recycling it.

Strictly speaking, they are not a Defender, but a OneTen (aka County) that they are based on. Previous model to the Defender. Besides the Isuzu engine, the only other that would be a bolt in would be a 3.5 V8.

worst case if you did do what your proposing You'd also have to do a complete 're engineer on the vehicle.

    Different engine
    Different gear box
    Different propshafts.
    Diffwent tunnel configuration.
You'd also.have to redo the front of the tdi u less you retrofitted power steering.

And then you'd have to pay for it to go through dynamic testing as you would have made significant changes that directly affected the vehicles natural handling due to the lightening of the vehicle and subsequent changes in the unladen COG.
