Excuse my ignorance but what is a caper ten? I have a No 5 trailer.

Picked it up and drove straight home from the Auctions on a permit. Passed a RWC that day no worries. She's a noisy old girl but seems to run really well

They are noisy for sure. Exactly zero soundproofing sees to that.

While some have added soundproofing and other insulation, I have taken a different path to prevent my ears from bleeding by the time I get to work each morning.

I have surgically combined a set of $20 PPE earmuffs with some $10 slimline, phone call compatible headphones. I detached the headphone speakers from their headband and hot glued them inside the earmuffs.

I now have tunes from my phone without having to max the volume.

This solution came about after I walked away from all the c. $300 ENC headphones, then briefly considered an aviation headset, dismissing this as still too expensive and also incompatible with my phone.

As a bonus, the numerous Perentie rattles and the drone of the Goodyear Hi-milers no longer bother me.

Fair point, however if you suffer from Perentie induced hearing loss, you won't be hearing those sirens anyway.

I SAID YOU WON'T ... Oh forget it.

These muffs only attenuate ambient noise by around 20dB. So you can still hear sirens.

    Haha...

True, I must have been cocooned in my latte mobile a little too long...

The key point they reduce the engine and road noise that previously stopped you hearing the ambos anyway

Glad you have great vision out of them. One of these days I will join in the fun....
