    Jack, Brace and Batt Question

    PERENTIE ... Question ... Can the group please help me with the following.

    1. What wheel brace should I get ... And from where?

    2. The Perentie did not come with a wheel jack ... What is the recommended jack to have?

    And lastly ....

    3. What is the recommended replacement battery.

    almost any N70 will do the job
    a 27mm socket and 1/2 inch breaker bar, a deep reach socket will get you the extra clearance you need to get the bar on straight so your not rubbing your knuckles or angle driving
    almost any 4T bottle jack will do nicely a lot of 2.5t jacks will also do the work but some will be short in lift height and base plate size. I prefer the ones with a screw up section and 2 stage lift

    I carry a 3/4" socket set for the wheel nuts, and a high lift jack works well, plenty of lift points on the perentie.

    I bought myself a 4t bottle jack as mine only came with a high lift.
    I need to check that
    a) it gets high enough to be able to lift the truck and
    b) I actually know where to put it to safely jack it up.

    There is a placard on the passenger seat box. Otherwise there is also a recent recovery thread.

    Landcruiser bottle jack works well, is a two stage screw jack. Usually a few on ebay at any given time for not a lot. Make sure whatever you get is short enough to get under the axle housing when the tyre is flat and extends far enough to lift the wheel sufficiently. Many of the single stage jacks don't fit this criteria.
